Ethan likes to walk through the kitchen with his little car he got for christmas. This was a month ago, but he still likes to play with his car. Although now he’s taking some steps all on his own!

We’ve added some new pictures to the site! Take a look at our albums and you’ll find the new one is for Ethan’s first birthday. At first he didn’t know what to do with the cake, but a couple days later and with a little help from Mom he learned that chocolate cake was well worth the price of messy hands and face. This is evidenced from the pictures! Mom and Dad learned that the joy from seeing his smiles and hearing his laughter is more than worth the clean up time afterwards!Priceless memories…

We have also added some new headers at the top of our website. As you move around our site the pictures will change for your viewing pleasure. That way there’s always something new, just a click away! There’s twelve of them so far… see if you can catch them all!

We went to the doctor today for Ethan’s one year appointment. He’s still a small tike. Only 19 lbs. and technically still supposed to be facing backwards in his car seat… but we already “installed” the big seat so he’ll be staying in that! He’s 29.5″ long… he’s always been a tall kid. He also got 3 shots! OUCH! And boy did he scream. I felt so bad for him! Doc says we need to work with him more on his language… help him learn new words… or any words would be good. Guess we have some homework to do.

Ethan’s big day was lots of fun for him and his parents! He just loved all the new toys and clothes he received. It was great to see all the family members there and we got a special treat to spend some time with Ryan, Heidi and Noah out in Colorado! We were all wiped out afterwards; Ethan was carried in sleeping in Dad’s arms and put to bed!

The next day after church Ethan played with his new toys and then began to take steps all on his own! It was a nice day of relaxation and recooperation from the big day!

Today is Ethan’s birthday! One year ago today at 10:30am Ethan Douglas Vile came into the world and our lives were forever changed. We are just so blessed to have this wonderful gift from God.
