Actually… summer is more than in full swing… it’s almost over… tear. But we have been trying to enjoy every moment of it! Playing in the kiddy pool, going to the park, enjoying ice cream runs, and most recently bike rides… lots of them!!! Kevin finally got his old bike from his parents house, got it working and we bought a bike trailer for my bike for the kiddos. It’s been a blast riding all over Bowling Green. Getting some exercise but more importantly saving a few bucks in GAS!!!! I try to do as many errands as I can on the bike and so far have only used the car about once a week to do the big grocery shopping. It’s great… I feel so frugal. The kids like it too. We go to the bank drive through line to make our church weekly deposit and the boys love getting suckers. I never asked for them before when we were in the car… but now they know the bank gives out candy! We ride to Bible Study on Wednesday’s and the park a couple times a week. Tonight we all rode to the park for a picnic and the Library was doing a program on bugs which made it an extra special night complete with ice cream. On our way home, we stopped at DQ for some ice cream with our dear friends the Core’s. We are just loving the warm, summer weather and hope it lasts well in to the fall!

Ha! I can’t believe July is almost over!!! But here are some pictures from our 4th of July celebration. Yes, you will see us all in long sleeves and pants… thanks to our lovely Ohio weather it was rather cold on the 4th of July. Kevin and I were both suffering from 3 week colds that just wouldn’t go away but we couldn’t miss the fireworks at Ft. Meigs! Now that we have kids, it’s more fun watching them watch the fireworks than actually watching them ourselves.

After the wedding, the rest of our weekend in Detroit was filled with playtime with the kiddos. The weather was great so we walked down to Kevin’s old elementary school to play at the playground… we all had lots of fun.

Lucas really started taking off walking this weekend… it was so fun to see both boys run towards all the playground equipment!

Gramp Vile really knows how to play!

Not ready to do this alone yet.

That’s better… thanks Uncle Joel

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, June is definitely over and we are well into July but I still can’t believe it. I have so much to post on June’s events and am just now getting to it. Kuddos to all you other bloggers who keep up so well with documenting your life’s activities… such is my life… always behind!
So after my brother and his family headed back to Colorado we headed up to Detroit for a very dear friends wedding. Kevin’s childhood buddy, Kris, FINALLY (hehe… just kidding Kris) got married to a great girl we all approve of (like it really matters if WE approve ), and totally love! The wedding was absolutely beautiful and we had a great weekend visiting family and friends.
