Book of the Week - The Challenge of Jesus
This week’s book is by N.T. Wright, the bishop of Durham in the Anglican Church. He is a highly respected evangelical theologian and first century Judiastic historian who has written numerous works. In The Challenge of Jesus he sets himself apart from those involved in the so called “Jesus Seminar” by defending the historicity of the man Jesus and certain events in the Bible. His thoughts on the how Jesus viewed the kingdom of God brought me a fresh look on the subject. Whether you agree with him or not, it will be an edifying and challenging read.
