Daily Blogs in Review
I’ve decided to try and post a daily recap of blogs that I read. I want to share the good things that are being said out there in the blog-o-sphere. There are some really good blogs that I like and I want to encourage those reading this blog to check them out. So here goes!
Blogs in Review:
- Tim Challies (http://www.challies.com) reviews the first book in a new series by Stephen Lawson (A Long Line of Godly Men) entitled The Expository Genius of John Calvin.
- Phil Johnson (http://teampyro.blogspot.com) gives his weekly dose of Spurgeon with an exerpt from his sermon “Christ Lifted Up” preached in 1857, with his post entitled A Recipe For Church Growth.
- Also, though not posted today, Dan Phillips has recently started a blog on the Greek New Testament. He has some great words of advice for those wanting to begin learning the language, and offers some fresh perspectives on the Greek of the New Testament. Highly recommended, check it out!
- Justin Taylor (http://theologica.blogspot.com) posts some links to sermons by Piper on relativism.
- Mark DeVine (http://www.theologyprof.com) posts a link to a paper on the Emerging Church and the Southern Baptists.
- David Wayne (http://jollyblogger.typepad.com) has some words of wisdom about the upcoming character of the blog world due to the NCAA tournament.
