Blogs in Review 3/26/07
Here are the blog posts for today!
- Scot McKnight (http://www.jesuscreed.org) starts his series on on the Truth on Conservatives and weighs in on the discussion on “Emergent False Dichotomy”.
- Matt Waymeyer (http://expositorythoughts.wordpress.com) adds to their series on the relationship of the testaments with Walt Kaiser on 1 Peter 1:10-12.
- Jason Robertson (http://fide-o.blogspot.com) keeps it quiet with his post “Shhhhh he’s a Calvinist.” Maybe this one is for all you closet Calvinists out there!
- Phil Johnson (http://www.sfpulpit.com) continues his series on why he is a Calvinist and why all Christians are one of sorts with part five.
- Frank Turk (http://teampyro.blogspot.com) posts his thoughts on Adrian Warnock’s email sent to them concerning John Piper’s most recent article on hearing from God. This one was almost too hot to touch. Is the debate heating up on this subject?
- Erik Raymond (http://www.irishcalvinist.com) posts a link to sermon audio of encouragement in the Word of God.
- Paul Helm (http://paulhelmsdeep.blogspot.com) introduces a new series entitled Analysis. The first part will be on subjects concerning this title: “Systematic Theology: Since It Isn’t Broken, We Ought Not To Try To Fix It.” Sounds good to me!
- Tim Challies (http://www.challies.com) writes a post simply entitled, Gray.
- Scott Clark (http://www.oceansideurc.org/the-heidelblog) continues his notes on the Heidelburg Confession with part seven and he adds to the eschatology debate see my post for a set of links on the debate.
- Kim Riddlebarge (http://kimriddlebarger.squarespace.com) posts a link to a completed lecture series by Ken Samples on “Augustine: Philosopher and Saint.”
- John at Reformation Theology (http://www.reformationtheology.com) posts an article entitled, Truth by Consensus? as well as a short synopsis and link to a book review on Post-Reformation Reformed Dogmatics by John W. Tweeddale.
- Phil Johnson (http://teampyro.blogspot.com) further discusses the cessationism issue and gives some good personal words on why this debate is not a game to him.
- Justin Taylor (http://theologica.blogspot.com) posts David Powlison’s chapter, “I Am Motivated When I Feel Desire,” from his book, Seeing With New Eyes: Counseling and the Human Condition Through the Lens of Scripture.
- Normally this series of posts only contains blogs, but i found this news from Fox headline interesting. Apparantly the Northern Irish Protestant leaders have sat down (but not shaken hands) with the Northern Irish Catholic leaders. Now this may be more political than religious, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
It was a busy day in the blog world!
